Ipsy Glam Bag: March 2014 Review

It's been a busy past few days!  I had to work over the weekend, so I didn't have time to report on my Ipsy Glam Bag, which arrived on Friday.  I had peeked at my Glam Room on the Ipsy website, so I knew what I was getting, but I was still excited about it.  Here's what I got:

First of all, this month's bag was designed by artist Klari Reis.  The print on the bag comes from her series "Street Anatomy" and is supposed to represent the city of San Francisco.  I've never been to San Francisco, but I think this is an interesting print, and I'm curious about what other locations are featured in the series.

Anyway, the first item in the bag was Marvelous Moxie Lipstick by Bare Minerals in the shade "Get Ready."  I was hoping for a full-sized lipstick, and this is just a mini, but I never use up my lipsticks anyway, so really this is fine.  This is a sort of mauve shade that I think will work on me, so I will certainly wear it.

Next was NYX Love in Rio eyeshadow palette in Voodoo Love Spells.  This is a trio of neutral shades that I tend to wear often.  I may end up giving it away because I have so much eyeshadow already, but they are definitely wearable colors.

Next was Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer.  I can always use more primer, so I was happy about this.  This primer has a bit of shimmer in it, so I might not wear this on a daily basis, but it will definitely be used.

The final item was Chella Eyeliner Pen in Indigo Blue.  This is a full-sized item that sells for $24 on the Chella website, so it had the highest value in the bag.  I was reading the comments on the Ipsy website, and some people seemed unhappy about getting blue eyeliner.  I, however, love it.  I already have a blue eyeliner pencil, but I prefer eyeliner pens and only have them in black.  I went out to dinner on Friday night (the day I got this bag in the mail), and I just had to wear this eyeliner.  It goes on smoothly and in a neat line, and the dark blue goes well with my brown eyes.

I thought this was a great bag.  I love the eyeliner, and everything else will be useful as well.
