Ipsy Glam Bag: April 2014 Review

My Ipsy Glam Bag arrived today!  I've been happy with my Ipsy bags since my first one in January.  It has been a great way for me to try out new makeup products, especially for just $10/month.  Here's what I got in my April bag:

Makeup Bag with Rocker Theme
Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in Apple Pink:  I've never tried any Cailyn products, and I'm always happy to have new lip products.  This comes with a lip brush built into the lid, which is very convenient.  I was happy to get this in the apple pink shade, which looks like more of a nude pink color.  I liked the way the color looked when I put it on, but I noticed that the formula felt very dry on my lips.  It also has a matte finish.  When I wear it, I will either have to moisturize my lips well ahead of time or perhaps mix it with a sheer gloss.  This also had more color coverage than I expected from a tinted lip balm.

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil, travel size:  I believe all Ipsy subscribers got this eye pencil in their bags this month.  I've gotten more eyeliner in the past few months from subscription boxes than I know what to do with, but I guess I just have to start wearing it more!  This liner goes on smoothly and is supposed to be good for making a smoky eye.  I've never been able to master the smoky eye, but maybe this pencil will help me with that.

City Color White Gold Shadow & Highlight Mousse:  I do have a lot of eyeshadow, but I don't have any in this color.  The light and shimmery color will be great for highlighting, so I'm going to have fun playing with it!

dr. brandt microdermabrasion:  This is a relatively small sample, so I probably won't be able to see any significant results in my skin from using it, but I do need to exfoliate more often.  I am curious to find out how my face feels after I use it.

Big Sexy Hair Root Pump Volumizing Spray Mousse:  I actually already have the full-sized version of this, which I think works pretty well.  I'm always happy to have more of this--and anything else that will give my hair some volume!

This month's Ipsy Glam Bag was definitely worth it for me.  I am pleased with all of the products I received, and I will be using all of them.  I think I've been having pretty good luck with my subscriptions lately!  I hope it lasts!

If you are interested in subscribing to Ipsy, click here.  It's only $10/month, and I think it's a great value in terms of the quality and variety of products that they send.

Did you get an Ipsy Glam Bag this month?  Which variation did you get?
