Ipsy Glam Bag: June 2014 Review

My Ipsy Glam Bag arrived on Saturday.  I hadn't even gotten a shipping email, so I wasn't expecting it.  It was a pleasant surprise!  This month's theme was "Pretty in Paradise."  Here's what I got:

Makeup bag:  The bag included this month was designed by Rebecca Minkoff and is my favorite Ipsy bag to date.  I have so many makeup bags already, but I have put this into my purse to hold my phone chargers and headphones.

Be a Bombshell Lash out Mascara:  This mascara is supposed to have a lengthening formula, which is always good.  However, this has a very strong, awful chemical smell.  I haven't used it, but the smell is off-putting, so I don't think I want to use it, especially since I have so many other mascaras that don't smell.  It's a shame, since the product seems to be full-sized, and I was interested in trying a mascara by this brand.

Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray:  This is a curl-enhancing spray that is supposed to create a tousled, beach hair look.  My hair is already a little wavy, so I was curious to try this.  It definitely amplified the waves in my hair, but I think I need to practice more with it.  When I used it, my hair was definitely wavy, but to me it just looked messy.  The product certainly works, and I think it could potentially be a great one for me, but I'll have to figure out how to style my hair after I use it.

NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee:  This is a creamy, smooth gloss.  The shade is a bit of a lighter pink than I'm used to wearing, but it is sheer enough that it blends in well with my natural lip color.  I like it a lot.

Ofra Universal Eyebrow Pencil:  This pencil goes on smoothly, and the color works well with my dark eyebrows.  I already have various eyebrow products, but I will be using this when those are done.

Realtree for Her Perfume:  According to Ipsy, this "opens up with the sweet taste of pomegranate, a hint of persimmon and an exotic scent of orchids. It blends with lotus blossom and champaca flower and is followed by the rich scent of amber, the transient scent of violets and the depth of mahogany wood."  That seems a bit complicated to me, but regardless, I really like this scent.  I don't wear a lot of perfume (I can't wear it to work), but this might actually be my favorite product in the bag!

This was a pretty good Ipsy month for me.  With the exception of the mascara, I will use everything in the bag.  The beach spray was something I had never tried before that I may end up using a lot.  The perfume and lip gloss are both great, and I like the eyebrow pencil as well.  Plus, I love the Rebecca Minkoff bag!
