PopSugar Must Have Box: February 2014 Review

My PopSugar Must Have box arrived today!  It shipped via FedEx SmartPost from NY, and it took four days to get to me.  Not too bad, but I was anxiously awaiting it, so the few days seemed really long!  PopSugar doesn't post spoilers ahead of time, so no one knows what will be in each box until people start receiving them.  Even if you look at spoilers online, though, it's still different when you actually have the box in your hands.  Here's what I got:

I don't know if this box has a theme exactly, but the information card talks about treating yourself--with a bit of Valentine's Day thrown in.  Sounds good to me!

The first item was a box of cinnamon heart candy from Sugarwish.  Sugarwish is a service that allows you to send candy to the recipient of your choice.  The recipient will receive an eCard that will allow him or her to choose from a selection of candy on the site and get a box of the candy delivered.  It's a cute idea, and I will definitely enjoy this candy.

The next item was ncLA nail polish in "Rodeo Drive Royalty".  I've never tried this brand before, but I love this color (dark red is one of my staple nail polish shades).  I will definitely be using this soon.

Next was Nourish Organic Argan Face Serum with apricot and rosehip.  This looks interesting--I've never used a face serum before.  I'm not sure about this one, though.  I got a Nourish Organic face moisturizer in my last Ipsy bag and wasn't too excited by it.  This is a different product, though, so it might be worth a try.

Next was a ModelCo Lip Pops Duo lip gloss and lipstick.  This looks like it would be useful to carry around in a purse.  One end of this is a pale pink sheer lip gloss, and the other end is a neutral peach/rose lipstick.  I usually stick to more red or berry shades when I wear lip gloss or lipstick, so this will be a good way for me to change things up a bit!

The next item was a peony-scented travel candle from K Hall Designs.  This is a hand-poured candle made from vegetable wax and in a little tin.  The candle is quite small, but it is supposed to have a burn time of 20 hours.  It has a fairly strong floral scent.  I can imagine it not appealing to everyone, but I really like it.  I probably won't take it with me when I travel, but I will burn it at home!

Next was the item in the box I was happiest about: a Gorjana Brooks Jewelry Roll!  I don't travel that often, but a few times a year, I'll usually go on a trip or a conference for work where I want to take jewelry for several days.  Up to now, I've always just carried my jewelry in an extra makeup bag, but this will be a much nicer way to make sure my necklaces don't get tangled.  I also love the color.

Finally, there was a "special extra" item:  Dial Vitamin Boost body wash.  This isn't the most exciting thing, but I like the scent, and I will certainly use it.  At the very least, it will save me a trip to Target when I run out of my current body wash!

The box also included cards with coupon codes for Gorjana-Griffin and Sugarwish.  I don't know if I will use them, but they might come in handy at some point.

Overall, I liked this box.  I would have preferred fewer beauty items since I already have a lot of makeup and nail polish, but I liked the products I received and will either use them or give them away as gifts.  The body wash is certainly useful, and the candy was a nice touch.  I am really happy about the jewelry roll, though, and that makes this box worth it for me.

Did you get a PopSugar box this month?  How did you like it?

PopSugar subscriptions are $39.95/month, but you can save some money if you get a longer term subscription.  I think that even if you don't love everything in the box, it's still a great value overall, and it's really a fun surprise.  If you are interested in subscribing, click here.
