The first item is the Beauty Protector Protect & Oil from my February Birchbox. I wasn't totally sold on this when I first saw it because I have fine hair, but I have used it several times since then, and it is terrific! My hair is quite long now, and I've been procrastinating on getting a haircut. I rub a few drops of the oil in my hands and apply it to my hair, mostly at the ends, while it is still damp. When I blowdry my hair after using the Beauty Protector oil, it looks shiny, and the ends are definitely smoother. I've started using this every day while getting ready for work, and I will probably purchase a full-sized bottle when the sample runs out.
Next is the Uncle Dougie's Wicked Good No Fry Wing Marinade from my January Taste Guru Box. I bought some wings last weekend and marinated them in this sauce for about an hour. Then I baked them for about another hour. I was very happy with the wings when they were done. The sauce isn't your typical bright orange buffalo wing sauce, but that's not a bad thing. This sauce has the perfect amount of spice and is very flavorful. It was saltier than I was expecting, but it wasn't too salty and tasted great. I don't cook a lot of wings, but I will definitely use this sauce again the next time I do.

I received the next two items in my January POPSUGAR Must Have Box. The first is The Juice Generation book. I actually just bought a juicer and am using this book to help me incorporate vegetable and fruit juices into my diet. I already own a Vitamix blender, and this book also has some great smoothie recipes. Could I have made juice without this book? Sure. But it is nice to have it as a guide, and it's not something I would have thought to buy on my own, so I'm glad I got it in the box.
In the same box as the book, there was also a pair of Jack + Lucy tech gloves. I love tech gloves and could use another pair, so I was excited for these. I wore them a couple times, but they didn't fit quite right. Most of the fingers were fine, but the pinky finger was much too long--about an inch too long! This made the gloves a bit awkward but didn't affect my ability to use my phone, so I didn't think it was too bad at first. However, after only wearing the gloves for a little while, they began to stretch out so that they felt loose and baggy when I was wearing them. I once wore them while I was driving, and I had to take them off because it was hard for me to hold the steering wheel. I haven't worn them since. I still have them, so maybe I should give them to someone with larger hands? I'm not sure. I did end up buying two more pairs of tech gloves from Groupon, and they fit and feel much better.
I was looking through my previous posts for more products to update, and I realized that I haven't used any of the items from my January Birchbox or Ipsy Glam Bag. I will most likely use the Fekkai shampoo and conditioner from the Birchbox when I run out of the products I currently use, and I had planned on waiting until the weather is warmer and more humid before I use the Nourish Organic lotion from Ipsy. However, I will keep this in mind for the future.
Those are my updates for now! It is useful for me to do this every once in a while to determine how much I actually use the products I get in my boxes. There are a lot of subscription boxes out there, and I can always switch to another one if one of my current subscriptions isn't meeting my expectations.
What do you think of my updates feature? How do you feel about your subscriptions when you look back at them a couple of months (or more) later?
